Juki HZL-DX7 Computerized Sewing and Quilting Machine

If you are looking for a high-performance machine that is still light on the budget and easy to carry around, the Juki HZL-DX7 is exactly what you are need! Focusing on making a machine that is user-friendly, efficient, and full of great features, this sewing machine is what every sewist would love to own.

The Juki HZL-DX7 is one of the higher end machines that Juki makes. It can be used to make even and consistent straight stitches, great zigzag stitching, and beautiful free-motion quilting.

For beautifully even stitches, the Juki “box feed” is integrated into this machine, ensuring consistent and even fabric feeding. The HZL-DX7 handles thicker fabrics and layers beautifully thanks to this unique feeding system and can stitch through any type of fabric whether lightweight, heavyweight, or stretch.

If you would like your quilts to come out beautifully without any stitch pulling, just set the Juki HZL-DX7 to sew with the presser foot lifted and floating ever so slightly at a setting of your choice.

Button holes are created with ease through the sensor buttonholing system that Juki uses. There are 16 choices of buttonholes types so you can choose which one best suits your project.

With the Juki HZL-DX7, you can select patterns and stitches with the touch panel and choose from 80 stitches including alphabetical/numerical fonts!

There are buttons that are easy and quick to select that control the machine, including reverse or lock stitch, thread trim, needle up or down, start or stop, and auto-lift presser foot. You can also assign a function to the foot switch/pedal’s heel portion for easy access.

Sewing speed on the Juki HZL-DX7 can be adjusted to a maximum of 1050 stitches made in a minute. For ease of use, if you need to sew on tight corners or be particularly precise with your stitches, you can use the low-speed or inching sewing function. Your stitches can also be adjusted in length or width with the easy adjustment dial.

The machine comes with 30 accessories, and includes the Juki warranty of 5 yrs mechanical parts, 2 yrs electronic parts, and 90 days on defects whether of workmanship or material.

The Juki HZL-DX7 - A Feature-Rich Dream Machine!

Box feed - Juki industrial sewing machine technology - The Juki industrial "BOX Feed" system has been brought to the home sewing machine. Our BOX Feed allows you to create perfect high-quality stitches on all types of fabrics. The BOX Feed system stays in contact with your fabrics longer for a consistent, reliable seam every time.

Evenly sews thick fabrics effortlessly - Even thick materials like denim folded into multiple layers!

Stitching thin or fine fabrics - No fabric shrinkage, even sewing on lightweight cotton.

Evenly feeds hard-to-sew high pile fabrics - Stitch towels and other high-pile fabrics.

Float function prevents uneven seams - By pressing the float button, you can sew with the presser foot slightly raised. Raising the presser foot to float allows you to sew fabrics without pushing layers or creating uneven seams.

Sew with the presser foot slightly floated - The height of the presser foot can be set in increments of 0.1 mm, allowing delicate adjustment according to the materials.

Using the float function - The standard presser foot is used in both cases.

Not using the float function - Pressure on layers creates uneven seams.

Easily create and enjoy beautiful buttonholes with Juki's combination of industrial background and modern technology - Use the buttonhole sensor system for optimal feed on all types of fabric. You will love the one step buttonhole as it measures and evenly sews on both the right and left sides. Automatically works in optimum order for a perfectly finished buttonhole.

Clamping plate - The buttonhole-sewing presser foot contains a clamping plate, so you can confidently feed fabrics by holding them between the clamping plate and the presser foot.

16 types of buttonhole - A wide variety of buttonholes are available for your needs.

Cutting width adjustment of the buttonhole - It is even possible to adjust the cutting width in 3 easy steps.

Easy-to-use Quick Select buttons

  • Start/stop
  • Reverse stitch
  • Lock stitch
  • Thread trimming
  • Needle up/down
  • Presser foot auto lift

Foot switch function - Allowing for greater versatility, Juki now offers assigned foot control options. With the ability to assign function to the heel side of the foot controller you can now lift the presser foot, trim threads, reverse stitch or single stitch by pressing on the heel side of the foot controller.

Optional presser foot pivot function - When you stop sewing, the needle stops in the down position and presser foot automatically lifts to allow for fabric movement. Sew corners or pivot with ease, and when you resume sewing the presser foot automatically lowers for continuous smooth sewing. You can also activate the option for the presser foot to automatically lift after thread trimming, which allows quick removal of fabrics.

Adjustable starting/reverse stitch speed - You can adjust the starting and reverse stitch speed between three levels: fast, normal, and slow.

Lock stitch - For the lock stitch at the start and the end of sewing, you can choose two kinds: "Reverse stitch" and "Lock stitch". If you press the lock stitch button in the middle of sewing a pattern, the machine stops after sewing one cycle of the pattern.

Low-speed Inching sewing - By pressing and holding the needle up/down button, you can sew slowly. Sew corners, stop, and start with precision.

Automatic needle threader - Simply place the thread in the guide and lower the lever. Easily and quickly thread a needle with one hand.

Elongation pattern - Change the overall length without changing the sewing density of the pattern.

Stitch adjustment dial - Use the easy-to-operate dial to adjust the width and length of the stitch. The dial also lets you make slight adjustments while sewing zig zag stitches.

Free motion - Flip the switch and drop your feed dogs. Enjoy both straight stitch and specialized zig zag for free motion. Adjust the presser foot height for easy movement. Enjoy the freedom of free motion.

Direct stitch pattern selection - Often-used sewing patterns such as straight lines, overcast stitches, and zigzag patterns can be quickly selected via direct buttons. You can also adjust the sensitivity of the touch panel.

One-point patterns - The decorative patterns can be sewn as one point patterns. It is also lovely to create an original tag by combining these patterns with the character stitches.

Character stitch - The 80 included stitch patterns contain three alphabetic/numeric fonts. Up to ten often-used patterns such as names and initials can be saved in the memory.

Corner sewing of applique - The stitch width of the needle can be set to automatically and gradually change to achieve a stitch that gives a beautiful finish even to the corner of an applique or the start / end of a line of sewing. By adjusting the width and length, you can also control the angles of your design.

Excellent Sewing Machine! Highly Recommended A+++++

Posted by sewbiz on 14th Nov 2018

Absolutely LOVE this machine! I have the HZL F-600 and decided to get the upgrade DX-7.

I've tried many,MANY! machine models in search of the perfect machine and JUKI is it..I've tried Bernina,Pfaff,Babylock,Janome,Viking to name a few.The JUKI company takes PRIDE in their products.I've also had the JUKI sergers & currently have the JUKI serger MO 1000...LOVE it!

JUKI has GREAT customer service and has replaced parts for me on sergers at NO charge!.Not saying they'll do this all the time? but in my situation they have.

I love how this machine has a quick speed of 1050! the previous model went 900 stitches per minute..the machine is not industrial but has a BOX Feed system that is Industrial.it will go over thick seams like Butter...but of course you still should always hand walk machines over thick seams.unless they are truly an industrial with a large "SERVO motor" attached to the underside of the table.

I LOVE all the features!the new features include an integrated straight stitch needle plate,Presser foot pivot function and the faster speed..oh yeah did I mention the new Decorative stitches?...which include a sewing machine, thread spools and other fancy foo foo's! I LOVE them all!

I couldn't be happier! this machine should not have any negative reviews..at all...I'm a seamstress and I use it in my Business..I had the JUKI HZL F-600 for 4 years and had NO issues with it...I did service it myself to keep it clean and dust free...but I NEVER had to take it in for any malfunctions or broken parts

    I'm so happy

Posted by CT on 14th Nov 2018

I've had this machine for about 8 weeks, and it is excellent. It took over 3 months to research machines, and I was really close to buying a very expensive "Mercedes Benz" machine until I went on user forums for that brand. Not only did I save over $3K (compared to the model of the other brand) but I got an outstanding machine. First, you can easily customize the machine for the type of sewing you are doing. When I quilt, the foot pedal function option raises/lowers the presser foot, the needle stays in the down position, and the presser foot automatically raises just a little so I can pivot the fabric. But when I sew garments, I have the foot pedal cut threads and the needle stop in the up position. The stitches are great - well formed. The alphabet is legible. The included extension table has generous spacing in front of the machine so I can "play" with the quilt pieces before they go under the needle. No more working off to the side. I currently also own the Juki TL 2010Q. Now that machine is dedicated to FMQ while my little guy is my go-to for piecing, applique, and general sewing. I'm a really happy camper. Of note, my previous machines have been (in order of purchase) White, Bernina, and Viking. They are all now retired. These Juki machines are reliable workhorses that have high standards.
