**Please Note: These samples illustrate the quality wood, hand rubbed stains and fine finishes used by Schrocks Of Walnut Creek. Because no two trees are exactly alike, natural variations in color and graining are inherent characteristics and add to the beauty of the wood. These variations may cause noticeable differences between our samples and the finished cabinets. As a result of the natural aging process of finished wood, the tone of the finished product will change with time. These grain and tone differences and color changes are a natural and acceptable condition of quality wood finishes.

The Schrocks Difference

Since 1918 Schrocks of Walnut Creek has been crafting only the finest quality cabinetry and furniture.

Our products are built by experienced cabinet makers using a combination of high-tech equipment and old-fashioned joinery techniques.

Each piece features solid, all-wood construction with stained and finished interiors. The wood is sanded with equipment and then by hand for the best possible finish.

We don't believe in taking shortcuts. From the start, our philosophy has been and will always be to build each product to the highest quality standards from the inside out.

Hand Rubbed Finish

Stains and special finishes are hand rubbed to bring out the character of the wood.
Three clear coats, including catalyzed Resistovar varnish, are then applied with our
state of the art finishing system including a pressurized rinish room and spray booths
to assure a dust free environment for both durable and beautiful results.

Mortise and Tenon Joinery

Hardwood cabinet fronts are assembled using mortise and tenon joinery (not dowels
or screws). For added strength, these face frames are tongue and grooved to the
cabinet shelves and to shelf frames ( they are not nailed through the front).

Solid Hardwood Doors

Cabinet doors are all hardwood with a solid wood floating panel within a frame
that, in addition to being coped together, is also mortise and  tenoned for maximum strength.

Dovetail Drawers and Accessories

Drawers feature 9/16" hardwood sides and finger dovetail construction. Interior
accessories are constructed of hardwood using french dovetailing.
