Great for helping with straight seams
This is a handy guide that will help you keep your seams straight while sewing. It is adjustable so you can select the width you need. Worth the investment.

Very accurate and solid sewing gauge.
The gauge is much more accurate than the Juki 1/4" foot supplied with my TL-18 QVP. I can maintain a scant 1/4" seam all day long and it is much easier on the eyes to guide the fabric through the guide opposed to constantly focusing on the edge of the foot.
