Juki Exceed HZL F300 Home Deco Computerized Sewing Machine

For sewing and quilting needs, Juki makes excellent sewing machines that deliver amazing results. The HZL-F300 machine in particular is great for sewing veterans, yet is easy enough for newcomers to use as well. The machine is sleek and has an easy to operate yet multifunctional design that is great for garments, home décor, and quilting!

Stitch and pattern selection is a breeze with direct selection buttons for frequently used stitch or pattern choices. All other options are visible through the LCD display, which is easily navigated with the keypad. Stitch length/width may be easily adjusted through the dial.

Button holes are a breeze with this machine as the Juki HZL-F300 makes use of a sensor method to stitch 16 different types of buttonholes. Such an extensive choice of buttonholes makes it easier for you to select the right one for your fabric and/or project.

Thread trimming becomes much easier on the Juki HZL-F300 as the heel portion of the foot controller can be depressed to trim the needle and bobbin threads immediately. There is also a button on the body that triggers the thread trimming.

If you struggle to see your work, the Juki HZL-F300 has 2 bright LED lights to help you see even the finest details so you can continue to sew with ease. Choose from 106 built-in stitch options to suit your project and complete them in record time thanks to a minimum speed of 80 stitches a minute and a maximum speed of 900 stitches a minute! With those many options you won’t be at a loss for ways to get creative!

I like it a lot. It's nice and big. Runs quietly.

I've not had the chance to really put my new HZL-F300 through it's paces. But so far I like it a lot. It's nice and big. Runs quietly. Easy to thread both the bobbin and spool. I also like the idea that there are so many YouTube videos about this machine, so if I get into trouble there is help there and I can call SewVacDirect for help.

    High Mileage Review

Posted by Pearl on 17th Feb 2018

I have had my machine for a couple of years now. I am a daily sewer, usually sewing quilts. She has been in the shop once to replace the bobbin case and a good cleaning and oiling while there. Only wish I would have purchased the HLZ-F 600 but that was my mistake.

    NO KNEE LIFT?

Everything appears to be working fine, but I was so expecting a knee lift to be included!

Very good machine. The four stars are because I really needed a heavy duty machine, not because the Juki doesn't do a good job. It is actually more gutsy than my other machine.

Came out of box not working correctly.

Posted by Carla Threet on 23rd Dec 2017

Had to send back machine didn't work had a computer problem it would tell you to lower presser foot and wouldn't sew even when the foot was lowered. Hopefully it was just a error on the computer chip of this machine. I'm going to give it one more try and order another because I like the rest of the machine, will update once I get new one.

    Juki is the best choice.

This machine is wonderful. The tension is easy to set. The stitches are dependable. I use it for free motion and it works like a charm.

    Awesome sewing machine!!

Posted by Customer on 22nd Dec 2017

I love this sewing machine. A friend of mine did research trying to find an affordable and good sewing machine for free motion quilting and this is the one she decided on. I followed suit and bought the same one. I have had it for about 1 1/2 years. I have had no problems with it. It does excellent sewing. I have done quilt piecing, quilting (both free motion and straight line), and binding and it has been great. I have also used it for other miscellaneous sewing projects such as hemming pants. I also purchased the walking foot and darning foot since they do not come with this model. I definitely recommend this sewing machine. You don't have to spend the extra money for the Juki quilt pro. While that one comes with the walking and darning foot, it was a lot less to purchase for F300 and buy those separately. The only other difference I found with the more expensive model is that it has additional special stitches. I don't really need all the additional stitches. This one still comes with over 80 stitches.

    Love this machine!

Posted by Kristy A. Christopherson on 22nd Dec 2017

I have had this machine for at least 6 months now. I have used this almost on a daily basis (sometimes at least 6 hours or more of sewing each day) with no trouble. I sew apparel mostly and it has done great, even with layers of denim. Sews through quilt layers well with the few I have made with this. I also make handbags and the machine did have a hard time getting through layers of cotton duck and the lining fabric, which I was disappointed in but will use my old Bernina for that. I LOVE the thread trimming function! The Box Feed system is fantastic as well. Amazing buttonholes, probably the best I have ever done. I WISH this was a bit better quality made, but the machine functions are great. A Heck of a lot better than a computerized Singer I had. Anyway, I would recommend it.

The slowest speed is very comfortable to me as I can sew very intricate turns

Posted by Ivan on 21st Dec 2017

When I bought it, I adjusted the thread tension. When you take out the box with accessories, there is a small hole through which you can turn the screw in the bobbin holder. The slowest speed is very comfortable to me as I can sew very intricate turns. Also, it's very quiet in that mode. F300 is the cheapest model in the F series. But it provides everything I need. I definitely don't need the big table, it would just take space. I especially like the overcasting stitch. It's similar to stitches made by a serger.
