Industrial Sewing Machine Technology in order to provide beautiful seams and outstanding feed performance, JUKI adopted the box feed system. The conventional feed mechanism is oval motion. On the other hand, the box feed moves the feed dog in a box motion. This eliminates material shrinking and shifting. This accurate feeding system provides superior stitch quality for a variety of light to heavy weight fabrics.
Capable of Sewing a Width Range of Fabrics
Thick fabrics can be sewn with ease. Leather, denim, and canvas are no problem for this machine. No fabric shrinkage even while sewing on extra lightweight materials.
Industrial Quality Buttonholes
Using a unique sensor method, HZL-F series sews beautiful buttonholes regardless of the type of material and overlapped sections. 16 types of buttonholes are available for your needs. Now it is possible to adjust the cutting width of the buttonholes in 3 steps.
Foot Controller with Thread Trimming Function
HZL-F series trims both needle and bobbin threads automatically by pressing the heel side of the foot controller. It is also possible to trim threads with a button located at machine body.
With this feature you can concentrate on your project while automatically cutting the thread!
Perfect Stitch and Needle Placement
The Exceed series now has a feature that allows you to move the position of a complete pattern without changing the width, as well as variable needle positions that allows you to place the needle anywhere you want.

This machine is wonderful. The tension is easy to set. The stitches are dependable. I use it for free motion and it works like a charm.
I love this sewing machine. A friend of mine did research trying to find an affordable and good sewing machine for free motion quilting and this is the one she decided on. I followed suit and bought the same one. I have had it for about 1 1/2 years. I have had no problems with it. It does excellent sewing. I have done quilt piecing, quilting (both free motion and straight line), and binding and it has been great. I have also used it for other miscellaneous sewing projects such as hemming pants. I also purchased the walking foot and darning foot since they do not come with this model.
I definitely recommend this sewing machine. You don't have to spend the extra money for the Juki quilt pro. While that one comes with the walking and darning foot, it was a lot less to purchase for F300 and buy those separately. The only other difference I found with the more expensive model is that it has additional special stitches. I don't really need all the additional stitches. This one still comes with over 80 stitches.
I have had this machine for at least 6 months now. I have used this almost on a daily basis (sometimes at least 6 hours or more of sewing each day) with no trouble. I sew apparel mostly and it has done great, even with layers of denim. Sews through quilt layers well with the few I have made with this. I also make handbags and the machine did have a hard time getting through layers of cotton duck and the lining fabric, which I was disappointed in but will use my old Bernina for that. I LOVE the thread trimming function! The Box Feed system is fantastic as well. Amazing buttonholes, probably the best I have ever done. I WISH this was a bit better quality made, but the machine functions are great. A Heck of a lot better than a computerized Singer I had. Anyway, I would recommend it.
When I bought it, I adjusted the thread tension. When you take out the box with accessories, there is a small hole through which you can turn the screw in the bobbin holder.
The slowest speed is very comfortable to me as I can sew very intricate turns. Also, it's very quiet in that mode.
F300 is the cheapest model in the F series. But it provides everything I need. I definitely don't need the big table, it would just take space.
I especially like the overcasting stitch. It's similar to stitches made by a serger.
This is a great all around machine. It doesn't have millions of decorative stitches, but I don't l care about that. Give me a sturdy and reliable machine with the stitches that I'll use. This machine has all the stitches that a sewer truly needs and then some. It stitches well and has good power. The foot pedal functionality is great as is the cover. It doesn't come with a knee lift. I don't understand why someone would complain about not getting a knee lift when it's clear that it's not included. A knee lift can be purchased separately, but if you have a knee lift from another machine, chances are that it will work with this machine. I have found the threader to be reliable, but all needle threaders have limitations when it comes to needle and thread size. Reasonable expectations are required. The machine is heavy enough to instill confidence in its ability, but not so heavy to instill dread if you want to move it.
I'm not sure you can get any better than this for the price. I have two Juki sergers and I am as impressed by this machine as I am by my sergers.
