I find that if you have purchased a piece of equipment that is the best that you can afford, like the "Janome Sewing Machine", you should buy the best tools to use with it. I love the Straight Stitch needle plate and 1/4 inch seam foot. They make sewing straight lines a joy. I saw the straight stitch needle plate for the first time on Craftsy.com and realized that it was just what I needed. I love the walking foot that is attached to my machine. I also want to say thanks to Sew Vac Direct, I have used your website several times and it is the first place I go when I am looking for something to use with my machine and also with my ironing system.

The Seam Foot is like the regular walking foot on the Janome, only there is a 1/4 inch stitch guide. You merely move the needle to the 5.5 setting, and then both feed dogs are in action to sew the seam. Makes a much better seam as the fabric is guided through the machine evenly. I have used the seam foot several times now, with excellent results. As for the straight stitch needle plate, I wish I'd got one much earlier. It's great for quilting and straight stitching, preventing the fabric at the beginning of a seam from being pulled into the needle plate. I'm very happy with these new items and look for much improvement in my piecing and quilting!

I have been wanting the single hole plate for a long time. After I struggled on a project, my sewing teacher suggested I purchase a single hole plate. It was nice to get the guide foot. I love my Janome 6600. I was not expecting to get both together. Nice.
