    Awesome front loading bobbin machine.

To me, this is the best mechanical machine out there for home use. It's affordable, and has just enough features that make it my go-to machine for sewing heavy material or when I need a really nice straight stitch. It's been my experience that front loading bobbin machines give the best straight stitch. I really like this machine and it comes with a hard case for easy storage.

    Great so far!

Posted by Sherry on 2nd Feb 2019

I previously used a brother xr1300 for sewing and quilting. The stitches were starting to get weird on me and I decided to buy a sewing machine that is heavy duty and has basic stitches because I didnt use all of the ones on my brother and thicker quilts were a struggle. Out of the box that had some weight. I got her going with some youtube tutorial help especially with the front loader bobbin since that was new to me. I had her running within an hour. So far its as smooth as butter. I have some unfinished projects that I plan on working on. I hope that it lasts. I would so far recommend after an hour of use. I am going to do some searching and see if a free motion quilter foot works on this sewing machine. Ill come back and update if things change.

    I love this machine!

My wife bought me this machine for my birthday because my brother CS-6000 I bought back in 2004 gave up the ghost finally after years of hard use, most of which it wasn't made for. We're both in the navy and I need a decent home machine for all the patches our uniforms require and I like to alter and make tactical pouches and gear in my spare time. I figured this machine could meet both of those demands better than a flat bed walking foot machine. Upon unboxing I loved the simplicity of this mechanical machine, no fancy computer screen, just good old dials and levers like the machines i learned on in my grandmothers basement. The front loading bobbin is a change of pace, but I don't mind it. If you ever sewed on older machines you'll feel at home. After plugging it in, getting a bobbin wound, and the machine threaded, it was time to put it through its paces. Dabbling with tactical gear, I have a lot of heavier weight fabrics and even HDPE (high density Polyethylene = plastic) laying around. I started with 2 pieces of 1” military webbing, sewed no problem. Then 3, 4, 5, and 6 layers of webbing were no problem. Layer 7, the machine struggled a bit but got the job done, later 8 it struggled a lot and the needle jammed in the fabric quite a bit. I'll never have to sew 4 layers of military webbing together let alone 8, so I think this machine will be perfect. It sewed through all the “practical” things I threw at it. I would highly recommend this machine. I mean, it comes with a 25 year limited warranty, so there's that....

    Great sewing machine!!

Had a hard time starting this machine, not machines problem, it was a user problem. Now that I've gotten comfortable with it now, it's amazing!! I've had this machine since 2012 and anticipate using it for many more years to come!
