After years of sewing, I finally purchased this tool. It's AMAZING! Makes quick work of trimming selvages and making curtains. I have carpal tunnel and tendonitis and this makes sewing work easy on my hands. The grip is very nice. I bought the replacement blades as well. My husband asked if these blades could be sharpened like his titanium saw blades.
Very sharp and easy to cut yourself, but that's a me problem. Works well with the Fiskars self healing mat. Was using it on thin sheets of cork and it does sometimes get things caught in between the blade and the holder, but it's not too difficult to correct.
Good for scrapbooking and crafts, good price. No Issues, easy to expose blade and to pop it back to protect yourself from getting cut. Will definitely use this seller again! : )
I've been needing a larger rotary cutter for years, this one is perfect for my needs. comfortable, spacious handle, nice safety lock, lightweight, no fatigue if using for an hour at a time
I've never used a rolling fabric cutter like this before and I am highly impressed. I'm working with mostly heavy materials (500d/1000d milspec fabrics) and this cuts through multiple layers without any problems at all. I've also gone down to extremely light materials (1.7oz ripstop nylon) and worked great there as well.
Wife really likes this to cut the quilt blocks. She likes the bigger size. She actually wore out her old one in that the part on top to hold blade exposed did not hold blade out when she went to use it.
I love love love this cutter. I had a straight handle one that my mother gave me yr's ago and it really scared me. I was always afraid of my hand's slipping down on the blade. This one I don't have that fear my hand is safe from slipping I can turn my work I can close my blade with just a movement of my thumb while my hand is secure inside of the cutter. Oh the softgrip is so comfortable my hand use to cramp up and I would have to stop cutting for a bit. Not with this cutter I can now cut longer and since I bought the larger size I can cut more piece's than before. As for the blade's iv'e never had any problem's with Fiskars blade's or their other product's. I expect i'll be buying extra blade's and other product's from this seller.
This is a nice product. Feels so comfortable in my hand while cutting. I am a beginner quilter and have used it to cut my strips and squares for making a quilt. Cuts crisp and clean. I've cut six layers at once and did a great job.
Apparently this is designed for use with fabric - but that's not why I bought it. I researched rotary cutters without considering what they were actually for (and therefore never looked into that aspect) because I assumed such a device would be good for what I want to do.... Lucky for me I was right! I'm using this for cutting paper - often multiple sheets/pages at once. It's fantastic. I'm also very pleased with the ergonomics and size as I'm a tall guy and have rather large hands. It's a perfect fit.
