Brother Side Cutter Foot
When my serger had issues I needed something equivalent to do my finished edges beside over cast. This foot does a beautiful job and in my opinion equal to my serger. I would highly recommend and is easy to use.

Just as advertised
I was looking for a way to avoid buying a serger as I’m still learning. This foot works just as I hoped, and will help me as I learn and get better. I have a Brother XM2701, and although it isn’t listed as compatible, I did finally find something online that said this foot would work with any or most low shank machines. And so it does! Service at SewVac Direct was perfect. Got an immediate acknowledgement. The package arrived within a week from the time I ordered. Thanks, y’all! Stay safe down there in Aggieland!

How to use side cutter
This may help if you are getting the side cutter to work for you. Always use scissors to start the cut in the excess seam allowance so that the cut fabric can start to sew under the needle, not at the knife. Side cutter attachments cannot be used to start the cut on fabrics like sergers can. Lift the presser foot to insert the precut fabric edge under the needle. The precut strip must reach back to the side cutter knife so it can continue to cut while the machine is sewing.

Quick, inexpensive alternative to a serger
Love it. For the price is amazing. Take your time when stitching or the cuts and seam might get a bit uneven. Very fast switch between a straight stitch and finishing the edge, without rethreading. Love it. AMAZING FAST shipment from Sew Vac Direct :)

Absolutely love this side cutter. I have a serger, but it is nice to be able to trim and overcast project without having to change thread in the serger. Easy to understand how to set up presser foot and use it. Highly recommend. Fast service and shipping.
