Love it
I bought this sewing machine for my son who designs and makes costumes. It replaced a 40 year old Singer that I used in high school that never worked well even back when it was new. This machine is wonderful!! Easy to carry because of the handle on top, easy to set up, and so quiet! My son loves it. I want to borrow it! It came all in one piece and with the accessories needed to set it up to sew. Really happy with this purchase.

Quality at a reasonable price! Follow directions though...all machines vary ! The great auto threader feature is fantastic BUT if the little hook doesn`t go through the eye of the needle (and to the side of the needle) use one of the tiny screw drivers and gently nudge it into place. Thank You Tube for that bit of info!

I bought one of these and was disappointed. But it is possible the one I got had been damaged during shipping as I bought mine on a discount and without the original packaging. I could not get the buttonholer to work properly and it skipped stitches. Usually Bernina is a very trustworthy machine and I think this is a great idea to offer a basic mechanical machine without all the electronic stuff. You don't really need 65% of the fancy stuff other machines can do. All you need is a straight, zig zag, stretch, and blind hem, and this machine does all those and more.

Awesome machine for making outdoor gear!
I’ve been running this machine for the past several weeks and am really impressed. I am sewing with outdoor fabrics for hammocks, stuff sacks, outdoor gear, etc. The B35 handles the fabric really well and the various adjustments on the machine have been a huge help. I’ve been sewing almost everyday since getting it, so at this point at least 30 hours + of time running it and haven’t had a single issue. It’s really been a flawless machine. The biggest con for me is that it’s not a top load bobbin. I hate that i can’t see how much thread is left in my bobbin and sewing with silnylon and like fabrics, it’s a real pain to run out of thread. The only other small frustration is the machine does bounce a little when running at high speeds. If it had a little more weight to it, it would be awesome. Just been really happy with how well it’s performed and lack of issues. A lot of research went into deciding what would be good for me to buy, and I had a few sales people are various stores try to strong arm me into saying i need to pay $500 or more in order to avoid breakdowns. I disagree with that, and the Bernette 35 has been super reliable so far. Photos attached show projects I’ve done with this machine.
