Designed to look natural amidst other home furnishings, the 98900 Auntie Oakley by Arrow is a smaller, affordably-priced sewing cabinet that offers the useful features of a much larger, more expensive one.
With its oak woodgrain finish and brass hardware, this cabinet looks as great as it performs!
Equipped with Arrow’s EZ-lift airlift mechanism, the 98900 Auntie Oakley effortlessly raises and lowers sewing machines into 3 different positions: freearm, flatbed, and storage position.
It fits most sewing machines up to 18-7/8" x 12-9/16" x 13-1/8" tall and includes a universal insert for flatbed sewing; custom inserts are also available.
Closed, the Auntie Oakley fits in perfectly with home decor as it looks like a small desk with its false drawer front that hides a stowed sewing machine.
It has a row of 4 storage drawers on the right, perfect for sewing accessories as well as tools, machine parts, and other smaller items.
At only 31-1/2" high, 31-3/4" wide and 19-3/4" deep, it can fit just about anywhere.
Open, the Auntie Oakley transforms into the perfect sewing surface with two unfolding leafs supported by strong, recessed hinges and leaf supports.
There is a smaller leaf on the right and a larger work surface on the left, taking the cabinet to a total width of 63-¾”.
This cabinet also has durable locking casters so it can be stored closed in a smaller space, then rolled out to be opened for use.
Made from composite and oak wood grain laminate, the 98900 Auntie Oakley ships in 2 boxes that include simple assembly instructions.
Using only a hammer, screwdriver, and adjustable wrench it can be put together in an hour or two.
The 98900 Auntie Oakley sewing cabinet comes with Arrow’s 3-year manufacturer warranty starting on the day it is shipped from their warehouse.
An additional 15-day warranty covering shipping damage is also included.

Really nice cabinet. Very sturdy and attractive
Needed help from a neighbor to put together and called once to make sure I was doing it right. They were very good about answering my questions.
Also needed two parts replace due to carrier damage, but Arrow was very good about replacing them.
The lift works great and was easy to change postions
How did I live without this?! I do a lot of quilting, this table gives me lots more working space, and the working surface of my sewing machine is level with the table top.
Ease of use: Once it's assembled, it's easy to fold the sides in and out. The sewing machine ratchets up and down easily - to hide it below the table top when not in use.
Ease of assembly: NOT easy. Took four hours. The instructions are good and you can assemble most of it if you're good at assembling Christmas presents for the kids, but there's lots of steps. However, getting the movable carriage (that the machine sits on) aligned and level with the table top took two people, three tries, and about an hour.
Size: When folded closed, it's quite a small cabinet and can be stored or left in a pretty small space. It has wheels so I can easily move it toward the center of the room if I need to.
Height of working surface: When we assembled the machine, it was fairly easy to adjust the height of the movable machine platform so the working surface of the machine is the same height as the table. (Getting it aligned and level was a different matter.) A simple plastic insert comes with the table to fill in the horizontal space (an inch or two) between the machine and the table top.
Quality of construction: Inexpensive heavy laminated particle board, like most of the assemble-yourself furniture these days. Looks OK, but I'd call it functional rather than beautiful.
This product is GREAT!! I have been using the original cabinet that came with the machine and during a move the movers broke it. I’m now glad they did! I built this cabinet by myself, the instructions were clear it took a while but worth it. I even made the curtain. The lift feature is the best thing it is so easy to move the machine to the right height and provides easy storage down for closure.
