I ordered this frame from SewVacDirect after thinking about it for almost 2 years. First, I have been buying from the internet since the early 90's. SewVacDirect is by far the leading company in my mind for offering the best products/price. Hands down, they have the best customer service I have ever seen. Their shipping is fast and I've never had any issues with damage. As for the frame, for those of you that used the original Grace hoop with stand, this model is a MAJOR improvement. I have the previous 24" model. It was very difficult to work with due to the size and the fact that I was never able to get the frame in a comfortable position. I was always reaching or leaning and had to limit the quilting time in one sitting. With this new model, I quilt the entire Sunday while watching football with my hubby. It is easy to position and even has the ability to swing out of the way. Prior model, you either had to move the entire frame or be in a chair that could roll away from the frame. I use the 14" lap frame while traveling and the 18" frame with stand is perfect for at home. For me, the 24" frame is a little too big since even when rotating it, I can't always reach where I need to. The 24" frame is nice in that it holds more of your quilt up off the floor. I hope this review helps. Please do not hesitate like I did on buying this frame. Working with SewVacDirect over the years has been a pleasure. Nice Job to the entire team! |
