  • crafter

I used my new iron for the first time this evening, ironing 20 dishtowels that I have embroidered for a craft show. It only took me an hour; I couldn't believe what a good iron can do. Having recently moved, I threw my old iron away when I packed because I knew that would be the only way I would actually buy a new one and I am very pleased.

I love my new Iron. The only problem that I see is that to empty the tank and turn it to the left does not completely empty the reservoir. So, I have to turn it upside down and shake it to get ALL the water out, thereby, wasting my distilled water. Do you have a better suggestion for emptying it??

The iron seems to work fine. The only thing I find a little disconcerting is that the lifters squeak whenever they lift or recede. Is this normal? Thanks

  • Love it!

    by Angie – 19th Jan 2012

I received my new smart iron and I LOVE IT! I had a lot of fabric to iron and spent a good hour and a half ironing and I love my new iron. It worked great. I wondered if there would be a real difference in the quality of a regular priced iron and this one...and this one was definitely better. The fact that it lifts itself up too it the best. I took my hand off of it to get something out of the oven and didn't have to worry about if I had taken the iron off of the fabric when I left or not because it lifts itself. I love it!
