Product Description

Juki HZL-K65 Product Features:

The HZL-K65 weighs in at just 15.6 lbs. Sews at speeds faster than many full size sewing machines. And - because it's a Juki, the K-65 sews smoothly, quietly with superior stitch quality!

Start / Stop Button

You can indicate the status of the machine by the color of the Start / Stop button.

[Green] Ready to or currently sewing

[Red] Not ready to start

[Orange] In bobbin winding mode

Size of Stitch Pattern and Needle Position

You're able to change the size of the sitich patterns as well as the needle position. The HZL-K65 has 15 different needle positions.

Two Automatic Lock Stitches

The HZl-K65 can sew a lock stitch automatically at the beginning and end of sewing. It has two useful types of lock stitch. Reverse the stitch and repeat for a reinforced stitch.

HZL-K65 will sew the buttonhole automatically to the size of the button.

Thread Tension

If the thread tension dial is set to "auto" it is normally suitable for most fabrics.

Needle Threader

The needle threader quickly threads the needle for you.

Easy to Start Sewing Thick Fabrics

Pressing down the black button of the presser foot will make the presser foot parallel to the throat plate. This makes sewing thick fabrics easier.

LED Light

Great for keeping an eye on your sewing. The LED light brightens the needle area. The LED light does not heat up even during long sewing sessions.

  • Juki HZL-K65 Computerized Sewing Machine

    by Talor – 22nd Oct 2015

This machine is my first home machine and I love it! Having worked, successfully, with other commercial grade Jukis in the past, I thought I'd give their home machines a try. One of the bet decisions I've made in a long time! Unlike the my commercial machine, this one came with 5 different feet, has more stitch modes, thread cutter, auto threader and an auto feed so you don't have to use the foot control.
Cons: If you are a lefty, this machine may cause some issues in the ease of use of the foot levers. I find myself overreaching sometimes to get to the pressure foot release which is oddly placed. My other machines have the lever on the left side or the back.
Other than that, it seems to be a great workhorse machine that will last for years to come.

  • Highly recommended.

I already have the Juki 98Q which I love, but I wanted a zigzag stitch for raw-edge applique. I am an avid quilter. My new Juki was fast and easy to set up and start using. The user's manual is very clear, and operating the machine is intuitive, not complicated. The LED light is nice and bright, and in a good location. This is a good size machine to bring to classes. I like it that you can see the bobbin through the clear plastic plate under the needle. That way I know when I'm about to run out of bobbin thread. Inserting the bobbin is much easier than on my 98Q. The thread cutter is in a good location. I thought I'd find this aggravating after getting used to the thread cutter on the foot pedal, but not so. Sewing on my new machine is fun. The tension is nice. I've been using it on +1 for zigzag. The thread is so easy to change that I don't mind changing threads to match the fabrics that I'm using. (And I can be pretty lazy about that.) Another important thing: I have large hands but I'm finding this machine easy to use. Some other machines feel too small for me. I haven't been disappointed in any way about this machine. And the price is very reasonable too. Especially with no tax and free shipping. What's not to love about all this?
