I have had my 600 for over a year. In that time I have sewn everything from clothing to handbags. It will sew on 4 layers of canvas, 2 layers of 71 peltex, and 2 layers of woven interfacing like you are sewing on 2 layers of cotton.
I had a Janome and this blows it out of the water.
if you sew alot of heavy fabrics, this machine is for you.
the box feed takes a bit of getting used to but once you do.....
I also love the thread cutter and knee lifter. Not sure how I sewed without them for so long!

Sew Vac Direct has been great to work with. My machine arrived a day early. I think the promotional materials do not really do the machine justice. The housing is a nice high quality plastic and the controls, instructions, and operation are very easy for someone familiar with sewing machines. I especially like the dials for adjusting stitch length and width - no more pushing up and down buttons forever. The lock stitch is a great feature. The machine sews as well or better than my very expensive top of the line sewing embroidery machine. A great value for the price.
