The Janome New Home Memory Craft 7700 QCP really is the perfect quilting companion. With hundreds of stitches and featuring the AcuFeed layered fabric sewing system, it has everything you need to complete a sewing project without hassle.
Janome Horizon Memory Craft 7700QCP Automatic Plate Converter: Select a straight stitch and the Automatic Plate Converter changes size of the hole. Use this with light fabrics, stitching high speeds or free-motion quilting. Your fabric won’t be pulled into the needle plate. Also included is the popular Convertible Free Motion Foot Set.
Plate Markings: Markings on the Janome 7700 needle plate & bed gives extra precision as you're making your stitches. Markings are located on both sides of the needle for seams of all sizes, angle marks, cornering guides & needle drop lines.
Superior Plus Feed System: The Janome Horizon Memory Craft 7700QCP features a 7 piece feed dog that moves parallel to the needle plate as they pull fabric past the needle. This design, called box feed, increases the surface area with the fabric and also provides professional grade pressure, so fabrics from canvas to silk are fed correctly.
Janome 7700 AcuFeed System: Sewing multiple layers, matching plaids & difficult fabrics like laminate and suede? The AcuFeed pulls it together. A wider & even pull, the AcuFeed foot feeds your top layer of fabric past the needle in parallel coordination with the bottom layer.
250 Stitches: On the Janome 7700 you get so many stitches and functions! Just spin the Jog Dial to move quickly through your stitch choices. Then simply press the middle button to select. Or, choose the LCD screen that displays stitch options and use a stylus or your finger on the panel to make your choice.

I have owned a 7700QCP which I recently put on the market ONLY because I wanted the Janome 12000 embroidery machine. As long as the machine had a serviced by a Janome technician once a year, it ran like a dream. Like a car, all sewing machines need to be serviced. As long as this is done, it's a well running happy machine without problems. The only problems I had, was my own fault. Love love the Janome 7700QCP. ALso, know that power surges can affect and effect all computerized machines. Use a good power surge protector and unplug the machine(not a power strip) when not in use. See Belkin surge protectors, and then replace the surge protector once a year!

I have had a Janome 6500 for 10 yeqes plus. It has been so good for all my household sewing that I thought I would upgrade. The 7700 not offers more space but the acufeed is fabulous. So much easier to use than a standard walking foot. Also stronger and more stable. Walking feet can fall apart with constant heavy use. I have quilted several king size quilts on the 7700 with no problem and recommend the stitch in ditch foot with the acufeed.
I have brother machines but both the Janome machines I have are so well built and solid that they have finally tempted me to invest in the Janome 15000 machine even though I have been very tossed between that and a more up to date Brother embroidery machine. I have also bought for both my daughters, Janome machines, as the build quality for the prices paid are the best in the market that I can find and stitch quality has been second to none.
