I received my Janome 9102D serger promptly, after ordering it last week. It was well packaged, and I was very happy to find an instructional DVD included, since many other reviews of this machine refer to a VHS video! I watched the DVD and it looks very helpful, especially the threading instructions. The machine looks and feels "solid", without being too heavy. I haven't yet tried out the machine -sewing or threading. I look forward to really giving it a trial when I have a good chunk of time to devote to it. I bought it after owning a much lower rated serger years ago, and was looking for a good, basic machine that I could thread easily. I plan to use it mostly for making clothes for my grandchildren! Since I already own a regular Janome machine which I love, and the 9102 had very good ratings, I decided to give it a try. Looks like I might have found exactly what I was looking for! 4 stars because I haven't tried to thread it myself yet. It looks not too complicated, and if that's so, I'll give it a 5!
