The Janome 8002D Serger

This amazing serger from Janome gives you a wide range of serging features in one compact machine. The serger's sturdy design and precise Janome stitch mechanism ensures beautiful 3 or 4 thread operation with Janome high quality standards.

The 8002D has a built-in rolled hem feature (no plate change) for a professional finish. Just slide the needle plate setting to the "R" position to switch over for the rolled hem feature.

The easy to read color coded threading chart make threading a breeze. Other features include an extra-high presser foot lifter, whisper-quiet operation, and an electronic foot.

Great machine

I love this machine, it's the greatest. I have 2 of them now, one with white thread, and one with black. This way I can switch back and forth quickly. I do a lot of sewing.

After our Singer serger died while sewing a Christmas dress for our daughter, I decided to search for a new and improved replacement. The Janome 8002D Serger arrived quickly and in perfect condition. I am very happy with my purchase and the price was right! It came with a DVD that I still want to watch, but the instruction booklet was easy to understand and I sewed a simple top the first day I got the machine.

My serger arrived within days of purchasing. I was very happy that it came with thread and threaded. I have not had to rethread it yet but it does not look difficult. The DVD was great and I have watched it several times. I have experimented with several different stitches. For the price I believe this is a great machine. It is perfect for my needs.
