    The new machine seems to be slanted toward the needle end so that the feed was below the insert. By using a couple of furniture pads (sticky one that you can use under chair legs) I was able to lift that end of the machine to make a smooth surface. It was not the insert but the machine that was a bit off. Thank you.

    The insert came today and it is beautiful--we'll have to do some work to get it all level with the machine on top, but I love it.
